The Brazilian or New York Method is a green coffee classication method, as is the SCCA Method. It is based on a sample of 300 grams. The number of coffee beans equivalent to one full defect is given below. According to the overall defects/points the coffee is rated using a point system ranging from -200 (bad) to 100 (good).
